Great Restaurants of Long Island

Zagat Survey

MY Travel Guide

Explore Long Island

Nothing arouses an appetite like a delicious, juicy, tender steak. At Pace's Steak House prime steaks are perfectly prepared by their award winning chefs and served sizzling. They are aged on premise in Pace's own aging rooms to insure tasty, tender cuts of prime beef. Generous portions of farm fresh vegetables and giant Idaho potatoes are prepared to order and are sure to please even the heartiest appetite. Pace's has been serving excellent food at their Hauppauge location for 18 years. You get the same great food and friendly, efficient service at their Port Jefferson location. Talented pastry chefs create luscious house made desserts including peanut butter mousse, and French chocolate ganache.

Pace's wine list is carefully crafted with selections from the finest vineyards in the world. The fun, lively and upbeat bar scene can also be a relaxing place to enjoy fine wines, spirits and a selection from their seasonal martini list.

The decor at both restaurants is strikingly handsome with
rich dark woodwork, historical photos and private rooms
for intimate dining. People arrive by boat to their newest
Port Jefferson location which is a short walk from the
picturesque water.

Pace's was highly rated by the Zagat Survey with a "23" for food with comments like "melt-in-your-mouth porterhouse"
and "damn good seafood", served by "attentive" staffers in "inviting" rooms.

Pace's is proud of the personal attention paid to each customer in their fun, lively and upbeat restaurants where you will
have a fine dining experience in a casual setting.

“I think this this restaurant is a great place to eat and enjoy a great night out. Me and my family really enjoyed Paces Steak House very much! Thank You.”

“This is our favorite restaurants around. Almost all of our family occasions take place at Palce's. The wait staff is polite and accommodating, the service is impeccable, and the food is out of this world. The bar staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the wine list is quite complete. We have been to many steakhouses, chains or otherwise, and we always go
back to Pace's.”

"I'd call this the best steak house on Long Island, although it's not just their steak that's good. They have a large menu with lots of delicious options. They often have a very good filet mignon special which is excellent."

"Pace's Steak House, for more than 18 years beef central in Hauppauge, has a well-marbled offspring in Port Jefferson. It's a spirited place to meat and greet.

But, while the steaks are just as juicy as at the original, the newer restaurant is a little less consistent."
